Do I need a Profile or Summary Section?

Yes. A good resume should begin with a Profile or Summary section, which will highlight all of your relevant qualifications. Be sure to avoid phrases that could be attributed to just about anyone, such as “enthusiastic executive,” “highly organized individual,” “ready to take on big projects,” or "track record with proven results." If you could substitute your name for another’s and the Profile would still make sense, then it is not for you. Instead try to write sentences that will show your new employers what you can do for them because of your background and experience.
